What is Diamond Grinding?
Diamond grinding is a highly effective method of preparing concrete. Using heavy-duty grinders fitted with industrial diamond segments, we can remove old adhesives, coatings, and surface imperfections leaving a clean, even substrate. Unlike more aggressive methods such as shot blasting, diamond grinding provides greater control over the depth of removal and produces a much smoother finish.
This makes it particularly suitable for projects where the floor will be coated with resin, polished or sealed for long-term use.
Our Process
Every project begins with a detailed site survey where we assess the condition of the concrete, the type of coatings or contaminants present and the intended purpose of the space. From there we select the most suitable equipment and diamond tooling to achieve the required finish.
Grinding is carried out with precision machines that ensure an even result across the entire area. On larger projects we integrate advanced dust extraction to keep the environment clean and safe
therefore minimising disruption for our clients. Once complete, a latex screed may be required to leave a smooth and stable surface which then provides the ideal base for further treatments such as resin flooring, sealers and painted epoxy floor coatings.
